How China protects its intellectual property…

… unlike their Western counterparts, [China’s] inventing creative strategies to protect the bottom line. Take the videogame market… many Chinese companies designed games that work only when users connect to a centralized server. Most gamers play for free, but accessories that enhance the experience are available only online from the manufacturer.

As a result, the online gaming market is expected to grow 20% annually over the next 5 years.
